Louvre Meeting Plan at the Carrousel

Meet your guide beside the inverted glass pyramid in the Carrousel du Louvre, an underground shopping mall next to the Louvre. This inverted pyramid is in front of the Virgin Record Store. Please do not confuse this with the more famous---and much more crowded---pyramid at the main entrance. You will not be going into the Louvre until you meet your guide.

The Carrousel du Louvre mall is accessible by Metro (lines 1/7, stop "Palais Royal/Musée du Louvre"). Follow the signs for the Louvre, Carrousel from the station, which will lead you into the Carrousel mall. You are looking for the view shown in the accompanying photograph: the Inverted Pyramid is in a large atrium at the end of the mall.

If you are traveling by foot instead, you may access the Carrousel from two street entrances marked in the accompanying map. The first is at 99 Rue de Rivoli, marked with a large red marquee. The second is a pair of entrances flanking the large Arc du Carrousel that lies between the Louvre and the Jardin des Tuileries. Once inside the mall, look for a large atrium at the center with an inverted glass pyramid.

Your guide will be waiting at the pyramid and will have purchased your admission tickets in advance. You will then proceed through the security check together.

Please be aware that your guide will wait for a maximum of 20 minutes after the scheduled time of your tour. We regret that we are unable to give refunds for late arrivals beyond this time, or for cancellations less than 24 hours before the tour begins.
