Captivated Throughout

I would like to thank you for the two marvellous tours. Both Holly and Inge were delightfully informative, and explained the various art pieces so clearly that I was captivated throughout. This is the third time I've made use of Paris Muse, and I will be doing so every time I visit Paris. Visiting art museums can be so dispiriting at times as there is so much to absorb, but with Paris Muse it as an absolute pleasure.

Engaged Every Minute!

I just wanted to let you know how absolutely WONDERFUL Barbara was on our tour of the Louvre. She was the absolute highlight of our trip to Paris (and that is really saying something)! She was not only incredibly knowledgeable, but she was warm, funny and entertaining. My three children, my husband and I were completely engaged every minute with her. She was spectacular. Please know that she is a tremendous asset to your organization. I am very happy to highly recommend Paris Muse, and Barbara in particular, to my friends. Many thanks!

Truly a Great Asset

My husband and I had the most delightful 2 1/2 introductory tour yesterday with Elisa Foster. Having never been to the Louvre until yesterday, our time spent with Elisa was perfect. She was most informative and knowledgeable about the art and very enthusiastic about our individual learning. Our time spent with her was one of the highlights of our trip to Paris and we want to thank you for providing such a professional and personable young woman as our guide. She is truly a great asset to your company and we will certainly recommend Paris Muse to our friends who will be traveling to Paris. Many thanks again,

An Inspirational Eye-Opener

We just returned from our four generational trip to Paris, in which Rachel was our guide to Great Grandma, Grandma, Mummy and Mia (aged 6). It was an inspirational eye-opener for all of us. Rachel was absolutely marvelous with Mia. She managed to capture her imagination, and Mia was delighted to be an art detective. Rachel is a delightful person, who adapted herself to the situation. Mia was shy at first, which did not phase Rachel, and within a few minutes they struck up a companionship which lasted for the whole 2 hours. WE all learned so much and enjoyed ourselves at the same time. As Sir Philip Sidney wrote "the art (of poetry) is to teach and delight" and this is indeed what happened - wonderful!

Engaged for 2+ hours

"We wanted to drop you a note of thanks. We took the Paris Muse Clues tour of the Louvre with Marya and it was great. After a long day of sightseeing in Paris, Marya kept our 7 year old son not only interested, but also engaged for 2+ hours. He was answering and asking questions, and he continues to show an appreciation for art. Today, he was telling his grandmother about "perspective" (which he learned about from Marya!)"

Too Bad We Didn't Have Carrie at the Uffizi!

A quick note to thank you for a wonderful tour of the Louvre. It's too bad we didn't have someone like Carrie at the Uffizi. In 2 hours not once did we hear "Are we done here?", "Do they have gelato here?", "I'm bored of this place"... I consider that to be a great success. Carrie kept the kids engaged while answering all of our questions as well. What a treat to be shown exactly where to go and what to look for. We could appreciate the art and antiquities instead of having our noses in a map. Our kids left the museum saying "that was awesome!"

Thanks again,

One of the Best Things We Did in Paris

"We took the Louvre family tour with Inge and it was one of the best things we did in Paris. Our twins absolutely loved it. For the remainder of our vacation they kept asking if they could do 'the treasure hunt' again. I didn't know how much our son and daughter had retained from their visit to the Louvre until, upon our return to the States, I saw my daughter show her grandmother a little box with the Mona Lisa on it. She told her grandmother to look at it from one side and see how the eyes were looking at her and then to look at it from the other side and notice the same thing. 'The artist did that,' she told her proudly. Then she added, 'Mona Lisa has a secret but nobody knows it'. I'm glad your tour wasn't a secret. I'll be passing it on to all our friends headed to Paris."

A Whole New World for the Next Generation of Art Lovers

We wanted to thank Inge for the amazing tour she offered Sophie and Isabela during our recent visit to the Louvre. The kids were so excited, inspired and enlightened by all the beautiful art. They loved every minute of their adventure and thought Inge was the best treasure hunt guide in the world. Thank you for making our stay in Paris so memorable. You have opened up a whole new world to a young generation of art lovers. Merci beaucoup!

Worth Every Euro

"Your staff is so professional, exceptionally knowledgeable and so personable that we cannot imagine seeing Paris any other way. You have now spoiled us and we treasure our memories and knowledge you imparted to us. I would and do tell anyone that if you want a wonderful, personal, informative and professional tour, Paris Muse is the best choice and worth every single Euro. We look forward to seeing you all again."

Truly a Gift to the Children

Thank you so much for your wonderful tours...my kids had an amazing experience (and I did as well). Both guides were extremely knowledgeable and personable. They went at the kids' pace and made sure they understood before moving on. Of all the things we did in Paris, your tours were the things my children talk about - and can remember every detail of . Pretty good for a 9 & 6 year old. Please tell Leslie and Mary thank you - they are truly a gift to the children.

All the spots, away from the crowds

We wanted to let you know what a terrific time we had with Inge last Thursday. She had just the right tone and approach with our 8 year old son and made our visit to the Louvre enjoyable and achievable. We all feel it was a highlight of our trip, which is funny since we weren't originally going to even go to the Louvre because of the crowds. But Inge just took us right on through and placed us in all the right spots.

Who Knew Learning Could Be So Much Fun?

Leigh and I had a marvelous—and very enlightening—time with Carrie. She was an absolute delight and made our experience to the Louvre so much more fun and meaningful than it would have been without her. It has definitely been the highlight of our trip. Who knew that learning could be so much fun?

Thanks again,

A Perfect Balance

Each of [our Paris Muse guides] had a perfect balance of professionalism and personal friendliness that put us immediately at ease and made the time we spent with them “fly by” without seeming rushed – a clear indication of a delightful experience. To hit three home runs in three at bats speaks volumes about Paris Muse and the folks in your employ. Our sincerest and deepest thanks are extended to all of you for helping to create memories that will indeed last a lifetime.

A Lasting Memory

We were lucky to have taken the "Paris Muse Clues" tour of the Louvre with our grandchildren. Your Mary left us with a lasting memory that we will cherish...Both of the boys tell everybody about Mary. For them it has become a highlight of their Paris experience. Patrick our younger grandson now refers to "My Mary" and "My Louvre" when he shares his insights with others, with a smile that shows the positive impression the experience created.

Mesmerized for Two Hours

"I wanted to give praise to the recent Louvre tour for children that my 9-year old son and I took with Carrie. It was perfect -- Ethan was mesmerized for the full 2 hours, and we both learned a great deal, ranging from the palaces of Sargon II to the emergence of perspective drawing in the Renaissance. A few weeks later, Ethan is still amazing his mother with tales of Jordanian art. Carrie was well prepared and engaging. Brava!"

5-Year Old Hooked on the Louvre

"I just wanted to thank you for the Louvre Family tour we did last Wednesday with Mary. It was wonderful! Mary was great, especially with our five-year-old son. She hooked him and we are thrilled with how much he liked the tour and the Louvre. He actually asked to go back again later in the week and was tossing out little snippets that he'd learned from Mary. We all had a lovely time, and the next time we are in Paris we will be sure to contact you for another tour."

Nothing Short of Amazing

I just wanted to take the time to thank Elizabeth R. for such a wonderful tour of the Louvre. Her ability to keep a 12 year old boy who lives only for sports engaged during a 2.5-hour art tour was nothing short of amazing. We all learned so much from her. Thanks for making our stay in Paris memorable!

Experience of a Lifetime

Our Introductory Tour of the Louvre with Gaby was the highlight of our 15-day European cruise. Gaby was absolutely terrific. She presented the history of the Louvre and works of art with passion and much knowledge… My husband wanted to visit the Louvre since he was a child and I am SO glad I picked the perfect way to see it for the first time. From the initial email that I wrote to you for information to Gaby's wonderful tour everything was flawless. Thanks so much for giving my husband and I the experience of a lifetime.

Best Guide of the Whole Trip

"We have returned to the US after a very exciting cruise....but I assure you that the very best guide we had in 10 days was your Gaby. She was fresh, informative, vibrant, and just more than I expected. My husband and I were so very pleased. Our thanks for making this introduction to the Louvre an exciting and informative one."

Paris Muse Clues for the Entire Family

“I just wanted to thank you for the most incredible time and wonderful experience exploring the Louvre with you. The children will tell anyone when asked what their favorite time in Europe was (and we were there for three weeks...between Paris, the south of France and Tuscany) and they will say the Louvre. You made the experience memorable and although it is written that "Paris Muse Clues" is for a young audience our entire family loved the experience.”

Highlight of Our Fifteen Days in Paris

We wanted to let you all know how very much we enjoyed and appreciated the architectural tour of the Louvre with Kristen.....It was the highlight of our fifteen days in Paris. Kristen is knowledgeable and personable. Her passion for French architecture and the Louvre and her depth of knowledge about French art, architecture and the decorative arts brought alive both the history and the architecture of this magnificent building in a way that kept us enthralled and chatting about details for over two nonstop hours.

Experiences of Learning and Wonder

Ann and I were so happy to spend half a day with Kristen finally learning something about Notre Dame (instead of just gawking at it) and the Cluny. The whole family was enchanted with our trip to the Louvre. I don't know what kind of magic Elizabeth wove, but everyone from Emily (who was 13 and highly dubious) to the rest of us who are a lot older (but also a little dubious on Emily's behalf) was totally enthralled every minute. Both of you made traditional (albeit spectacular) tourist fare into experiences of learning and wonder. It will be a lifetime's memory for Emily, and a reminder for Ann and me that the most basic things can be brought again to life by someone who knows and cares. You really are the best.

We will certainly call on you the next time—there is always a next time for Paris. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.

Special Exhibitions with Paris Muse

"I'm now convinced that Paris Muse is really the only proper way to visit special exhibitions... Without a doubt, you brought out the best in Chagall, and allowed us to appreciate characteristics of his work that we might have noticed before, but not had the occasion to fit them together into a complete story - and a special respect for the story certainly is what set Chagall apart from his contemporaries."

The Insights that "Canned" Tours Lack

"More information, insight, historical perspective and amusing anecdota than one could ever, ever receive in the same amount of time by 'reading up' on the subject or taking the 'canned' tour. These tours are an opportunity to view beloved art with someone who has the education and the intelligence to give thoughtful, informed responses. I hope to do this again, and again, and again. What fun!"

It Made the Best of Our Time at the Grand Palais

"Having a friend in Paris who will help you skip the long line at any exhibit or museum is only half the fun of working with Paris Muse. The best part is having a knowledgeable guide whose insights add immeasurably to the experience. Our recent tour of the Matisse-Picasso exhibit at the Grand Palais would not have been the same without Ellen's help. Her ability to interpret the exhibit, while also welcoming our opinions, not to mention her sure-footed route through the show and around the crowds, made the best of our time and added tremendously to the experience. We almost hate saying nice things about Paris Muse....we'd like to keep the secret to ourselves!"

Real Conversation at the Pompidou

"My tour of the Pompidou with Paris Muse was a highlight of my recent trip to Paris. For anyone who wants an alternative to being herded around in a tour group, this is it. The tour was a wonderful hour and a half conversation where the guide started with what I said interested me and built on what I already knew. She connected it with what we were seeing in a way that made me feel I actually knew something about modern art which--for me--is no mean achievement."

Our Feet Flew

"My mother and I have never enjoyed museums more than we did with Amy, Elizabeth and Jennifer. Having someone so knowledgeable about art history, mythology, general history, religion, and everything else these incredible women brought to the tours, made our time on our feet fly by as we were captivated by the art and the stories behind it."

Insights at the Louvre

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Louvre with Amy, whose discussion was delightful, insightful and thoughtful. You can only imagine that my wife, the French history buff, was enchanted to see and discuss the paintings of the poisoners and potentates she reads about. We will see you again!"
