The Historic Heart of Paris

2.5-hour private walking tour
Rates. €90 per person, with a 2-person minimum.

This walk is a delightful introduction to Paris. It is ideal for the first-time visitor, but will be enjoyed by anyone interested in a meaningful look at the city’s architecture and epic history.

You and your guide will explore the central neighborhoods—the Ile de la Cité, the Latin Quarter, Odéon, and the Louvre district. This is the historic heart of Paris. Old and new mix in a visibly fascinating way here, telling the story of the periods and peoples— from ancient Roman settlers to Résistance fighters—who helped shape the city.

Although the 2.5-hour walk includes major landmarks such as Notre-Dame cathedral, the Sorbonne, the medieval Hôtel de Cluny, and the Palais du Louvre, you will also see things not highlighted in your guidebooks. Quiet, tree-lined plazas and tucked away courtyards, filled with meaningful details, capture the spirit and history of Paris just as well!

If you are a group of 4 or more, and would like to request a group rate for this tour, please email us with your request. €20 surcharge to guarantee that your party has a one-on-one tour with the instructor, without other parties.

Special Exhibitions with Paris Muse

"I'm now convinced that Paris Muse is really the only proper way to visit special exhibitions... Without a doubt, you brought out the best in Chagall, and allowed us to appreciate characteristics of his work that we might have noticed before, but not had the occasion to fit them together into a complete story - and a special respect for the story certainly is what set Chagall apart from his contemporaries."
